Disclaimer: All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty. LORANGER, La. (WGNO) — A Loranger student was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 26, after allegedly bringing a gun on a school campus. Fatal officer involved shooting under investigation in St. Charles Parish The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to Loranger High School around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a tip that a student may have had a gun in his car. TPSO officials said the school's resource officers and additional deputies then placed the school and two nearby schools on lockdown while they conducted an investigation. (Courtesy: Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's) According to deputies, a gun was allegedly found in the trunk of 17-year-old Denim Lusk's vehicle. Lusk was then arrested and now faces charges of possession of a firearm on school property and illegal disruption of the operation of a school.
