DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - An Auburn firefighter faces child molesting charges as allegations from nearly a decade ago begin to unravel. Cody Larowe faces Level 1 and Level 4 felony child molesting charges in connection to allegations he molested a girl nine years ago, according to documents filed in DeKalb Superior Court. The girl, now a teenager, disclosed to multiple therapists throughout the years details of her alleged encounter with Larowe. One of the therapists had a duty to report, leading police to launch an investigation in January. The Auburn Fire Department said the 34-year-old Larowe is now on unpaid administrative leave. “I believe (the girl) because her account of these events was detailed and corroborated in part through her therapy sessions and disclosures she made to family and friends," an investigator wrote in court documents. Larowe was booked into the DeKalb County Jail earlier this month but posted bond and is free as of this story's publication. Court records show that DeKalb Superior Court Judge Adam Spuiller recused himself from the case. Noble Circuit Court Judge Michael J. Kramer was then appointed Special Judge to oversee the proceedings.
