We are tracking Hurricane Helene as it makes landfall leaving our area with gusty winds up to 40 mph and some heavy rainfall.
Showers from the remnants of Helene will begin to move across the area late Friday
National Weather Service confirms 2 tornadoes in LaGrange, Noble counties
It should be a mild afternoon with warmer high temperatures in the upper 70s.
As the remnant moisture from Helene heads towards our area we'll see gusty winds and showers as early as Friday afternoon.
Heavier rainfall is possible in areas south of Fort Wayne through Sunday morning
Drought actually gets worse in some areas
Gusty winds and showers continue Saturday with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
Showers may linger into Sunday morning with cooler temperatures in the afternoon as highs reach into the lower 70s.
It will be cooler next week with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
