INDIANAPOLIS -- The "Piano Man" is teaming up with Sting for an Indianapolis show next year. Billy Joel, a six-time Grammy Award winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will headline a concert with Sting at Lucas Oil Stadium on Feb. 8, 2025. Tickets for the concert are expected to go on sale at 9 a.m. on Oct. 4. Joel, known for songs like "Movin' Out," "It's Still Rock And Roll To Me," "Uptown Girl" and "You May Be Right," has sold more than 150 million records and has had 33 top 40 hits. In November 2014, Joel received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song and was also named a Kennedy Center honoree in December 2013. What concerts are happening in the Indianapolis area? While Joel is known for performing in stadiums and arenas throughout the country, Joel holds the record for performing 150 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. His last performance in his 10-year residency occurred in July. According to his website, Joel last performed in Indianapolis in November 2017 at the then-Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The 26-song show included a six-song encore as well as songs like "Allentown," "Don't Ask Me Why" and "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant." Sting was the frontman for The Police in the late 1970s and has since established a successful solo career. He has won 17 Grammy awards throughout his career. To complete 2024, Joel has scheduled shows with Sting in St. Louis on Sept. 27, in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 25 and in Las Vegas on Nov. 9. Joel's first 2025 date is at Hard Rock Live in Seminole, Florida on Jan. 17.
