For the record: The Bengals have been impressive so far, but this is their biggest test of the season to date. Walsh leads the all-time series, 17-14, including the last three. … Benedictine has gotten a strong running attack from Jamere Church (449 yards, seven TDs) and Chris Maloney (232 yards, three TDs) to go with the passing game of Matthew Furst (719 yards, nine TDs). Joey Pomnean (22 catches, 273 yards) and JJ Baldwin (18-for-308) lead the receiving corps. On defense, keep an eye on linebackers James Yane (35 tackles), Jonathan Spikes (18 stops) and Tristan Wilson (15). … Walsh Jesuit is led by QB Keller Moten, who has thrown for 637 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He also leads the running attack with 493 yards and six scores. The Warriors have a big target in the passing game in 6-foot-4 Milan Paris. … Benedictine is second (to Toledo Central Catholic) in the Division III, Region 10 computer ratings, while Walsh is first in Division II, Region 5. Whoever wins this game is going to get a gigantic push toward postseason play both in momentum and in computer points.
