SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Following recent resignations in the hospital’s oncology unit, some employees with South Count Health are calling for the resignation of its management. Employees have cited concerns over lack of support, staffing shortages, and shortages in services. The members of “Save South County Health” are also criticizing the management style of CEO Aaron Robinson, claiming he “fosters division.” A group of employees met privately and took a vote of no confidence in Robinson, and claim the hospital’s management is not making the no confidence vote public. A spokesperson for South County Health stated employees voted unanimously that they had full confidence in their CEO back on September 12. The spokesperson further said: “Less than 10 percent of the voting members of the Medical Staff were present. The meeting agenda did not include any notice that such a matter would be raised or voted on at the meeting. We look forward to working with South County Health’s Leadership of the Medical Staff as we learn more.” Categories: News
