INDIANAPOLIS – No one was hurt after fire broke out at a home on the east side. Indianapolis Fire Department crews were dispatched to North Sheridan Avenue around 2 a.m. Thursday, where they encountered fire and heavy smoke coming from the back and right side of a residence. Crews were able to get the fire under control. IFD said the homeowner was not at home when it started. The cause remains under investigation.
