The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5... Good Morning! If you liked the weather yesterday, copy and paste that to today with highs just a degree or two warmer and that will be the weather story for this Thursday! As we warm close to or around 80, dew points stay in check. High pressure is building in from the west today and is positioned north of an area of low pressure in the Mississippi River Valley. These two systems will anchor in those respective areas through the weekend, and for us that means we stay sunny, dry and warm until Monday while the southeast U.S. will see relentless rain. Overnight, lows will fall back to around 50 and with clear skies and light winds, we will be able to condense enough moisture to develop patches of fog like the last few nights. Otherwise Friday I'm expected mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid and upper 70s to around 80. This weekend is looking great as well, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Gameday Sunday, Vikings come to Titletown, tailgating temperatures will be in the 60s with gametime temps in the low 70s. We stay quiet through Monday as a cool fall front slides through Tuesday. We could possibly see a isolated shower overnight, but nothing that will eat away at our growing deficit anytime soon. This system will kick up a breeze out of the north and cool us down to more seasonal readings. An update on the tropics: Hurricane Helene officially formed yesterday and as of this morning is a high end category 1 storm. It is forecasted to make landfall this evening as a high end category 3 hurricane with winds upwards of 125mph. This will bring life threatening storm surge all along Florida's west coast and heavy rain and gusty winds inland. This system will pinwheel around an the aforementioned low for multiple days. For us, high pressure will keep the remnants of this system away from us!
