Four men in their 20s were wounded in a shooting early Thursday in Irving Park on the Northwest Side. About 2:25 a.m., the four were standing on a sidewalk in the 4200 block of North Knox Avenue when occupants of a dark-colored sedan opened fire, Chicago police said. A 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and groin area and he was taken to Community First Hospital before he was transferred to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said. Another man, 25, was shot in the buttocks and leg and was also taken to Community First before he was transferred to Illinois Masonic in good condition, officials said. A third man, 20, was grazed in the arm and another 24-year-old man was grazed in the neck, authorities said. Both were taken to Illinois Masonic in good condition. Area Five detectives are investigating and no one was in custody.
