GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - With the Packers set to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon, preparations are in full swing at local businesses as they prepare for an influx of customers. “It’s always a lot busier during those games," Kroll's West server and kitchen staff Jaime Multhauf said. “A three-generation owned business, a lot of people come here. And a lot of times, people get right off the plane and come here. We can be busy even after the game, because people stay in town still.” Bust of Vince Lombardi installed at Lombardi Middle School in honor of legendary coach On game days, Kroll's uses a hopper trailer in the parking lot, and every staff member works to help meet demand. “All the staff is here, and then we run the hopper outside," Multhauf said. “This weekend is a noon game, so we open earlier, we open at 8:30. Because our menu is so big, we have to shorten because it’s just too many things to serve on a gameday because it’s so busy.” The business, which has been open since 1936, has its fair share of rival fans, and at times, they outnumber Packers fans, according to Multhauf. She says that fans will start arriving in town as early as Thursday. “Usually Thursday, Friday, it depends on the package like you were asking about," she said. "Vikings, Lions, and stuff, it depends on what team they’re playing.” Spectrum Internet now available to over 3,000 homes & small businesses in Outagamie County Preparations have been underway at Stadium View since Tuesday, and once Sunday rolls around, all hands will be on deck. However, employees look forward to the added incentive of more opportunities for tips. "I would say especially around this time of year with it getting cooler out, it's a huge boost and a motivator for our staff, as well as any other restaurant, business," Julia Haupt, Stadium View bar server manager, said. "Usually prepping at least six days in advance to prepare for a busy weekend like we're coming into right now. So all hands on deck here."
