EPFD knocks down Condition 2 fire in Central EP

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Fire knocked down a commercial building fire on Wednesday evening, Sept. 25 in Central El Paso.
According to a spokesperson with El Paso Fire (EPFD), the call came in at roughly 7 p.m. of reports of flames and smoke coming from a business on Montana Avenue and Cotton Street.

Once firefighters arrived on the scene, the building was consumed in flames and EPFD categorized the fire as a Condition 2, meaning more fire personnel and firetrucks were needed, according to EPFD.
The building was not in operation and no one was present at the time of the fire, according to EPFD.
EPFD did not report any injuries.
Montana Ave is currently closed due to the ongoing investigation to determine the start of the fire, according to EPFD.
