BILOXI, MS – A very special ceremony in Mississippi on Wednesday. The Bahakel Communications founder, the late Cy Bahakel, was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Mr. Bahakel bought his first radio station in Mississippi, followed by the purchase of a TV station there, too. On Wednesday, Mr. Bahakel was recognized for his contribution to Mississippi broadcasting. His distinguished professional career exemplified integrity, innovation, achievement and leadership. Mr. Bahakel’s granddaughter, Amy Liz Collins, was on hand to accept the award on the Bahakel family’s behalf.
