Former President Donald Trump was back in North Carolina today on the campaign trail. He visited a manufacturing company in Mint Hill where he released a plan to create more jobs. Inside Mosak Group, a plumbing supply factory in Mint Hill, Former President Donald Trump outlined a deal for tax breaks for big businesses. “I will give you the lowest taxes, the lowest energy cost, the lowest regulatory burden, and free access to the best and biggest market on the planet,” Donald Trump said. “But only if you make your product here and hire American workers for the job.” Trump says his ideas will create more jobs and stimulate the economy something supporters say they desperately need. “I had a couple hundred dollars left over every month. I planned on having that when I retired but now with just food alone it’s taking it,” Virginia Rubino supporter from Lincolnton said. “I have pets, that food is up, everything is up and there’s nothing extra.” The crowd of workers and supporters cheered when Trump said he wouldn’t tax social security or overtime payments. “Always voted democrat [until 2016] and then when Trump came in there and I started listening to him. I said well he’s making sense lets see what he does,” Budd Cook supporter from Monroe said. With 40 days until the election, voters say they are pinching pennies. “You have to really be careful because you don’t know what else is going to happen, what’s coming down the road,” Ruth Goodman, supporter from Indian Trail said. Trump claims his business incentives would help American companies and workers thrive. “Under my plan, American workers will no longer be worried about losing jobs to foreign nations, instead foreign nations will be worried about losing their jobs to America,” Trump said. “Together we will deliver low taxes, low regulations, low energy costs, low interest rates, low inflation so that everyone can afford groceries, a car and a home the American dream.” Wednesday’s visit marked Former President Trump’s second visit to North Carolina within a week. His running mate Senator JD Vance also made a stop in Charlotte this week. Mr. Trump made it clear he will be back to North Carolina soon.
